About Me
I have been a "native" Houstonian since 1976 when I moved to Houston to go to university. I graduated from Rice in 1980 with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and a minor in German. My first engineering job was with McDermott International, Inc. which included a three year stint in Dubai, U.A.E. I returned to Houston in 1987 and worked for a local environmental engineering company. Later on, I completed my MBA at the University of Houston, and joined HISD as a ninth grade Algebra teacher.
I have taken drawing and painting at the MFAH Glassell School for six years, and at the Art League of Houston for the past 3 years. My interests include travelling, photography, yoga, and playing the flute.
